Friday post

Making a toy out of paper is kinda complicated but not at the same time. If you do the more complicated toys then it gets frustrating but if you make an easy one like the Paper Popper then its easy. For the paper popper you have to fold it hamburger way and then do a bunch of little folds and then you're done.

Game Journalism Day 3

Building a base can be challenging. But once its built its very easy to survive.

A base command unit makes a beacon to your house so you don't get lost.

these are the basic utilities for a house/base.

Game Journalism Day 3

What you need is a lot of nails and cordage for a base. You find cordage from either crates around the world, or the plant fibers that spawn around animals and stuff. So far my base is coming along very nicely. I just need about two more walls and my base is done. The benefits of a camp is you can find your way back as long as you have a base command unit, it keeps you warm during the night, and bears and wolves wont attack you. I have a chicken coop for food so i wont starve to death which is right beside my base.

Game Journalism Day 2

What i did right? I killed a grizzly bear with a pistol. And i found blueberries.

What i did wrong? I didn't build a shelter for the night but i made a camp fire for the night.

Some tips i have to give is to probably just explore for a bit, crouch around bears and wolves, also chop down trees for wood to turn into planks for a house.

My opinion of this game is that it is very fun, but finding fibers is very hard and it would be better if you could make nails from scrap metal.

Game Journalism Day 1

What is a person's basic needs?

A persons basic needs in life is Food, Water, Shelter,Warmth, and Sleep.

What is the definition of the title of the game?

The definition of the title Subsistence is helping oneself to survive on a minimum level.

Subsistence is a multiplayer/solo open world sandbox survival game where you start off with almost nothing(hense the title of the game). You can team up with others or stay alone and try to survive.

The game is made by ColdGames.

They are a new game developer and this is their first game.

This is a sandbox survival game, which is also open world and the games it compares to is 7 Days to Die, The Forest, and Ark Survival Evolved.

All these games i have played, besides Subsistence. They are similar in the fact that in all these games, you start off with nothing and you have to build your way to the top. Also they are all open world sandbox survivals.

what does it mean to be "early access"; Early Access means that you pay to get the game early to test out the game and see what its about.

What are a few features of the game; Some features of this game are that you can build a house, make a farm as in chickens and potatoes etc, you can mine ore's, have electricity go through your house and guns.

A user of this game can expect many things, you can expect to die within the first day if you don't prepare with a shelter and food, you can die from starvation if you don't eat. Also if wild animal is near you will get a notification that you are too close and you should go somewhere else. But one more thing to worry about is bandits that can kill you if you get too close.

What is the first thing you should do; The first thing you should do when you spawn in, is to gather materials for a shelter and try to find food.

Friday Post November 4th

This week in IT class we have been doing some photoshop and animating stuff, also in photoshop.
first we animated a pumpkin patch with the pen tool to create the face and then do the video timeline to animate it. Also we've animated a hand with eyes based on a Stephen King novel where this guy comes back from space and he has a bunch of eyes on his hand that blink a lot.  The layer style we used to create the iris for the eyes was in the gradient overlay, and changed the style from linear, to radial. I think JTN is the more reputation you have, the more government funding you get
